Intel is expected to launch its new powerful processor Intel Core i7 975 Extreme as a part of its Extreme series of Core i7 series of Desktop processors. This will be the most challenging processors when launched on the market. With a clock speed of 3.3 Ghz and a impressive over clocking potential this is sure to hit the market. In a recent post on Xtreme Systems Forum it is said that the Intel Core i7 975 processor will support LGA 1366 socket and has 8MB of L3 shared cache memory together with a factory clock speed of 3.3Ghz. The Bench mark results of the Core i7 975 Extreme has leaked. Here are the results.
The core i7 975 has braked the scores of Futuremark’s 3DMark05 benchmark application. While the card were at stock levels it reached a peak speed of 5,239 MHz. It hit a score of 47026 points in 3DMark05 which is the top of 3DMark Best Benchmark Results. Currently this score is 1.5 times higher than that of the AMD Phenom overclocked to approx. 6.3 Ghz.

pricing and release date have not been released by the manufacturer but
it is sure to take the lead in the market when launched.
